Constellation Prize

Hi Loves,

In the previous post, I shared how my daughter was disappointed because she did not receive the ruffle hat I made. Here's why her disappointment didn't last long.

I tried the Temu cotton blend yarn in yellow and black, and decided to experiment with other colours. So I bought some light pink, rose pink, and white. At first, my daughter wanted me to make her a top that I had made for her younger siblings, but she changed her mind after losing the hat.

She even requested that I alternate between colours every few rounds. She can be quite picky for someone who is not paying for the work, don't you think?

I was delighted with the challenge and decided not to cut the yarn after every color change, in case the colour combination didn't work out. As it turned out, I loved the final result as the colours and placements were simply beautiful together.

She wore the hat to school and had a photoshoot with her friends. It was rare to get a picture of her in anything I made unless I took it myself.

Ruffle Hat

Hi loves

Have you seen those hats that are taking the internet by storm? They're all over TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and I just had to give them a try. It was a breeze to make the hat, but the final two rounds of ruffles took a bit of extra effort. In the end, though, it was totally worth it - both my daughter and I loved the finished product!

There was just one tiny problem... the hat was so popular that it practically flew off my mannequin head with a buzz. My daughter was a little disappointed that she didn't get to keep it for herself, but hey, paying customers come first, right?

She wasn't disappointed for long, though. I'll show you why in the next post.

Saltwater Taffy Tee

Hi Loves,

I discovered Temu, an online store sells yarn, while browsing TikTok one day. I was pleasantly surprised and decided to check out their app. After doing a search, I became very curious and decided to order a small amount of a cotton blend yarn. I waited for a little over a week for my package to arrive. Once it was delivered, I quickly opened it and was amazed by how soft and luxurious the yarn felt. I was excited to start making something, but I wasn't sure what to create. I started a few projects before finally settling on the Saltwater Taffy Tee designed by Rachel of Evelyn and Peter.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a hard time estimating the amount of yarn required for my projects. Unfortunately, this project was no exception - halfway through, I realized I needed more yarn and had to order it. As a result, I had to put the project on hold for about a week.

After waiting eagerly for my package to arrive, it finallyl's  did and I was able to dive back into my project. I spent countless hours working on it, perfecting every detail, and making sure that it was exactly how I wanted it to be. Finally, after two days of hard work, I was able to complete the project.

Butterfly Romper

 Hi Loves,

This post is about a butterfly romper that I made. The idea came to me while I was creating the Shyler Crochet Butterfly dress. I thought it would be a great idea to turn the dress into a romper. However, I got sidetracked when my daughter asked me to use the same dress design and modify it to make her prom dress last year.

To make the romper, I started the same way Shyler did with the top/dress and followed the steps until I reached the section where I needed to split it into leg holes. This is where I started improvising.  After a few tries, I think I got it right.

After spending countless hours on making a beautiful romper, it sat completed and unclaimed on my mannequin. I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that my creation had nowhere to go and no one to wear it. However, when my birthday came around, I decided to take a chance and wear it myself. And let me tell you, it was such a confidence boost to wear something that I had designed and created myself. The romper was both sexy and comfortable, and knowing that I had made it with my own two hands made it even more special. It just goes to show that taking risks and trying something new can lead to some amazing results.

Cotton Fair and The Memory.

Hi Loves,

As someone who loves creating things, whether it's knitting, crocheting, or any other craft, I always have a project in progress. So when I received a new type of yarn, I couldn't wait to try it out. I carefully inspected the yarn and was immediately struck by how soft and luxurious it felt in my hands. It was clear that this was a high-quality yarn, and I wanted to use it to create something truly special.

As I sat down to start my project, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. I wanted to choose the perfect pattern that would showcase the yarn's unique texture and colour. I spent some time browsing through my collection of knitting patterns, trying to find the perfect match.  After much deliberation, I selected Caia, designed by Petra Breakstone, one of my favorite knitters.

This was after receiving a notification from Google reminding me of a project I did a few years back. It was a pleasant surprise to see that my day of crafting had been captured in memory, and it made me feel grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion.

Keychains

 Hi loves,

I am currently exploring the idea of participating in a craft market for the first time and I am in the process of considering various patterns to find the right items to create and showcase at the event. During my search, I stumbled upon a charming and delightful little dress that I believe would make a wonderful keychain for any girl or lady to use. I am excited about the possibility of incorporating this idea into my craft market merchandise and am looking forward to exploring other creative concepts as well.

I started off by creating a unique item for myself. After seeing how well it turned out, I decided to make one for a friend as well. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and it felt like a fire was ignited inside me. Suddenly, I found myself creating more and more of these items, and before I knew it, I had a collection of about a dozen. Each item was crafted with care and precision, and it brought me great joy to see others appreciate my work.

New Edition

Hi Loves,

Upon receiving the news of my impending nephew's arrival, I was overjoyed and brimming with excitement. My mind was immediately flooded with ideas about what I could make for him. I spent hours poring over patterns and considering various options. After much deliberation, I finally decided to crochet a beanie for him, using the step-by-step instructions provided by Crochet For Life

Although I contemplated making other items, such as a cozy blanket or a pair of adorable booties, I ultimately settled on the beanie as it seemed like the perfect choice. However, I didn't just stop at the beanie; I also purchased another gift for my nephew and even crafted a handmade toy for him. I couldn't wait to meet him and see his reaction to all the love and care that went into his gifts.

By the way, I'm curious to know how did aunt do?

Grey And Yellow

Hi Loves,

In my recent blog posts, I shared my experience of making the "Little Miss Daisy" swimsuit ๐Ÿฉฑ. Feeling creative, I decided to make another swimsuit, but this time I wasn't sure what to make ๐Ÿค”. I spent some time thinking about the design and finally settled on a simple and cute one ๐Ÿ˜. However, when I started working on it, it didn't turn out the way I had imagined ๐Ÿ˜•. After a few attempts, I managed to create a swimsuit that I was happy with ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Let's discuss the colour combination. Doesn't the grey and yellow look amazing? Take a look at the mesh details on the side. Although the top may seem simple, I think the mesh on the side makes up for it. Do you agree?
